Cécile Petitgand

Cécile Petitgand is a post-doctoral fellow at the Centre de recherche en droit public de l'Université de Montréal and the Centre de recherche du CHUM. She is also a research associate of the Hub santé : politique, organisations et droit (H-POD), the Observatoire internationale sur les impacts sociétaux de l'intelligence artificielle et du numérique (OBVIA) and the JusticIA group. She completed her thesis in Management Sciences under a co-supervision between the University of Paris-Dauphine and the University of São Paulo (Brazil) on the theme of the emancipatory management of Brazilian social enterprises. In her post-doctorate, Cécile Petitgand draws on her experience as an ethnographer and her expertise in qualitative research methods to analyze in practice the implementation of artificial intelligence tools in Quebec's university hospital centres. She is particularly interested in the ethical, legal and societal issues raised by the integration of these innovations into the organizational processes and clinical practices of health and social services professionals.
