Colloquium on the transformation of international organizations

January 20th and 21th, 2021

The United Nations system set up at the end of World War II wanted to create an international solidarity that would prevent the repetition of such conflicts and build peace in the minds of men and women. Unfortunately, these wishes have not always yielded the expected results, and international cooperation – undermined by the resurgence of local conflicts, religious, social and economic disputes, and the resurgence of protectionism – has crumbled, especially in recent decades. . Climate change as well as social inequalities, not forgetting the health issues raised by the current pandemic, call for reflection on the possible and desirable futures of international organizations.

This colloquium is intended to be a place of dialogue on the issues and possible avenues for research and action on these questions.
